Dale Wilson is known across the globe as one of Fenders most highly revered Masterbuilders, a select group of the worlds most esteemed luthiers. With this Godly status, any guitar with his name attached generates a huge amount of interest, and rightly so.
The Fender Custom Shop Dale Wilson Masterbuilt '59 Strat Heavy Relic is a great example of the legendary prowess of the Masterbuilders.
An Alder body is finished in the classic Relic 3-Tone Sunburst, one of Fender's most popular finishes, it's a real beauty! Authentically aged, this finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. Dale is the King of relic work at the custom shop and this certainly doesn't disappoint.
The plain grain Maple neck has a smooth finish and a soft nitro on the back. With an AAA Rosewood fingerboard, 10" radius and 21 6105 frets, this '59 Custom Shop Stratocaster can handle anything you throw at it without even breaking a sweat; it's supremely comfortable and well balanced. The 59 Esquire C neck profile is a joy to play and offers a great platform for both rhythm and lead playing.
With a trio of hand wound 59 Strat pickups it delivers all the sweeping, versatile tones you would expect from a Strat from clean sparkle to a raunchy growl. A truly outstanding, vintage-inspired guitar delivering ultimate tone.
