The Emerson Custom 4-Way Telecaster Prewired Kit is a premium upgrade for any Tele-style guitar equipped with two single coil pickups. Handwired one at a time in Bixby, Oklahoma, this assembly delivers improved clarity, smoother control and expanded tonal flexibility thanks to its 4-way switching layout. Built with Emerson's Premier Pro potentiometers and a Paper in Oil capacitor, the kit offers a refined, musical response that far surpasses stock electronics.
Each Premier Pro pot is hand-metered and matched for consistency, ensuring an even taper and predictable sweep across both volume and tone. The 22 AWG vintage push-back wire provides an authentic look and feel, while heat-shrink insulation on the jack connections ensures long-term durability. The kit is designed to drop into most USA Fender Telecaster control plates with no modification. Import guitars may require reaming for US-spec pot shafts and knobs.
The 4-way switch adds a powerful extra position: Bridge and Neck in Series, delivering a humbucker-like fullness with increased output and midrange punch. This makes the kit ideal for players who want classic Tele tones plus a thicker, more aggressive option on demand.
