The Emerson Custom 5-Way Strat Prewired Kit is a premium upgrade for any Strat-style guitar equipped with single coil pickups. Handwired one at a time in the USA, this assembly delivers smoother control, improved clarity and a more musical taper across all three pots thanks to Emerson's Premier Pro potentiometers. Built with high-grade components and vintage-correct wiring, it offers a noticeable improvement over stock Strat electronics.
Each Premier Pro split shaft pot is hand-metered and matched for consistency, ensuring an even, predictable sweep on both volume and tone controls. The 0.047uf Emerson Paper in Oil capacitor provides warm, articulate tone shaping with a refined roll-off, while the prewired Switchcraft jack ensures long-term reliability. The kit uses 22 AWG vintage push-back wire for an authentic look and feel.
Designed to drop into most USA Stratocaster control cavities, this kit provides classic Strat switching with a clean, noise-free layout. It includes a master volume and two tone controls, with the familiar 5-way switch positions covering everything from bright bridge tones to warm neck sounds.

Installation Tips for Split Shaft Pots
Emerson Premier Pro split shaft pots are designed for USA-spec 24-spline push-on knobs. Some USA and import guitars use knobs that will not fit these shafts. If a knob feels too tight, gently crimp the top of the pot shaft together slightly before installation. This prevents damage from excessive downward pressure. If you have any questions during installation, Emerson recommends contacting them directly.
