Seymour Duncan | STL-1s Vintage Broadcaster Tele - Set - Used
Pre-Owned - All Mounting Screws & Springs Included - Vintage Tele Rhythm & Vintage Broadcaster Lead Pickups

The Seymour Duncan STL-1 Vintage Broadcaster Set offers a remarkable sonic journey for guitar enthusiasts. At its core, the Vintage Broadcaster bridge pickup embodies the iconic 50s Telecaster lead tone, infusing it with an extra punch and twang. Meanwhile, the Vintage Telecaster Rhythm pickup captures the warm, open tones reminiscent of the best '54 Teles.
This set pays a faithful tribute to the 1950 original, meticulously crafted to satisfy the demands of discerning players seeking more from their Tele lead pickup. The Broadcaster employs a special winding technique that encapsulates the pioneering era in Fender's history. Equipped with Alnico 5 magnets boasting a slightly larger diameter of .197, it churns out higher output, coaxing biting treble and snarly mids. This combination results in raucous riffs and stinging lead runs that can elevate any Telecaster. For that unmistakable British rock sound, try pairing it with a fuzz pedal.
The Telecaster Vintage Rhythm neck pickup complements the set with its vintage output, delivering a smooth, open tone enriched with warm lower mids and airy highs. Crafted with hand-ground Alnico 5 rod magnets, this neck pickup produces big, full-sounding chords. When harmonised with the bridge pickup, it conjures the famous hollow Tele sound – warm enough for diverse rhythm playing yet percussive enough for chicken pickin'.
Seymour Duncan's meticulous craftsmanship extends to the smallest details. They painstakingly hand grind the magnets, assemble the bobbins using traditional Forbon, and dip them in lacquer for stabilisation that ensures decades of reliable use. After winding, the pickups are wrapped with black cotton yarn, and vintage-style waxed cloth hookup wire is meticulously soldered to the coil eyelets. The pickups are wax potted, with the lead pickup sporting a classic tele copper-plated steel bottom plate and the rhythm pickup adorned with a deep-drawn chrome-plated brass cover. This meticulous attention to detail guarantees squeal-free performance.
Please Note: These pickups are Pre-Owned. There is still solder on the wire ends but includes all springs and screws needed for mounting. These are from a box of Old Stock Seymour Duncan pickups found in the Peach Warehouse so enjoy these fantastic deals on great sounding gear!
