The Fender Custom Shop '50-'51 Blackguard Telecaster Pickups are faithful recreations of the earliest Blackguard Tele tones, delivering punchy lows, fat mids, and crisp, twangy highs. Whether you're chasing warm, full-bodied cleans or dynamic overdriven textures, these pickups offer open, lively response with rich harmonic depth.
At their core, the '50-'51 Blackguard pickups feature flush-mount, large-diameter alnico magnets, with alnico 3 in the bridge for vintage bite and alnico 5 in the neck for enhanced clarity. Wound using 43-gauge enamel-coated magnet wire, these pickups replicate the authentic feel and sound of the original models.
Additional refinements include shellac potting for superior resonance, cloth wire and fibre bobbin construction for historical accuracy, and included installation hardware for seamless setup.
