Dale Wilson is known across the globe as one of Fenders highly revered Masterbuilders, a select group of the worlds most esteemed luthiers. With this Godly status, any guitar with his name attached generates a huge amount of interest, and rightly so.

The Fender Custom Shop Dale Wilson Masterbuilt '61 Strat Relic Heavy Relic is a great example of the legendary prowess of the Masterbuilders.

A sort for lightweight Alder body is finished in a super cool Shell Pink nitro lacquer. Heavily aged, this finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. The thin nitro finish also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively. Dale is the King of relic work at the custom shop and this certainly doesn't disappoint though!

The rift sawn Maple neck has a smooth finish. With an AAA sort for dark Rosewood fingerboard, 9.5" radius and 21 jumbo frets, the '61 Custom Shop Stratocaster can handle anything you throw at it without even breaking a sweat; it's supremely comfortable and well balanced. The 59 Esquire C neck profile is a joy to play - measuring .790" at the 1st fret and .970" at the 12th - and offers a great platform for both rhythm and lead playing.

With a trio of hand wound Fender Custom Shop 59 strat pickups it delivers all the sweeping, versatile tones you would expect from a Strat. With a crisp harmonic content and a really refined and precise tone, the 59s are some of the most versatile single coils around, a great choice for this guitar!
