Since The Gaslight Anthem's breakthrough album "The '59 Sound", Brian Fallon's voice, songs and rhythm guitar work have become a modern reference point for honest, working-class rock and roll. At the centre of it all is a well-worn Telecaster - a direct line to heroes like Bruce Springsteen and Joe Strummer, and the perfect vehicle for his no-nonsense approach to songwriting and performance.
The Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition Brian Fallon '59 Telecaster Custom is built around his personal number one guitar. It starts with a lightweight 2piece select alder body, double-bound and finished in Nitrocellulose Lacquer with a tasteful Journeyman Relic Black treatment, worn in, not worn out. A tinted rift sawn maple neck with a comfortable '60s Oval "C" profile is paired with a flat-laminated dark 3A rosewood fingerboard, 9.5 inch radius and 21 Vintage Upgrade (45085) frets, giving a familiar vintage feel with just the right amount of modern playability.
The real twist lies in the electronics. A matched set of Righteous Sound "Fourth Man" pickups is wired with Dual Stack HS Tele circuitry, giving this guitar a voice that is both classic and uniquely its own. The bridge pickup delivers a mid-rangy snarl and bite that cuts through a mix without getting harsh, while the split-coil neck pickup offers warm, clear note definition with a sweet top end. In the middle position, both pickups combine for a shimmering, well-balanced tone that is perfect for Fallon's chiming rhythm parts and melodic lines.
Vintage-correct details are everywhere: a '63 Telecaster bridge with RSD brass saddles, 3ply parchment pickguard, vintage-style tuners, bone nut and American Vintage '59-'64 wing string tree. The result is a Telecaster Custom that captures the nuance and feel of a great first-year Custom, but with artist-driven tweaks that make it a serious player's guitar, not just a collector's piece.
Each guitar ships in a deluxe hardshell case with strap and Certificate of Authenticity.
Please be aware, these guitars are expected to begin shipping from the beginning of 2027
