The Fender Custom Shop 60 Tele Relic in Vintage Blonde channels the unmistakable vibe of a well played early 60s Telecaster, complete with ash body resonance, lightly worn lacquer and that classic blonde translucence that lets the grain shine through. There is a definite Robben Ford energy to this one, the kind of Tele that looks equally at home delivering soulful phrasing, bluesy bite and expressive dynamic control.
The two piece ash body is finished in nitro lacquer and treated to a Relic level of ageing, giving it the feel of a guitar that has seen years of honest use without the extreme wear of a Heavy Relic. The rift sawn maple neck is shaped to a 60 Style Oval C profile, offering a comfortable, vintage inspired feel with a touch more substance. The AAA slab rosewood fingerboard, sorted for dark colour, provides a smooth playing surface with a 9.5 inch radius and 6105 narrow tall frets for modern precision and effortless bending.
A handwound Twisted Tele neck pickup delivers open, articulate clarity with a hint of Strat like sweetness, while the handwound 63 Tele bridge pickup brings punch, bite and midrange authority. Together they offer a wide, expressive tonal range that suits everything from clean, dynamic touch playing to driven blues phrasing. Traditional Tele wiring and a 3 way switch keep everything intuitive and authentic.
Finished in Relic Vintage Blonde with tasteful ageing and classic early 60s character, this Tele is a soulful, expressive Custom Shop build with serious musical personality.
