The Fender Custom Shop 60 Tele Heavy Relic in Gold Sparkle is a bold, road worn take on the early 60s Telecaster, pairing a striking metallic finish with deep ageing that looks like it has survived decades of stages and smoky clubs. The Heavy Relic treatment delivers lacquer checking, exposed wood, worn edges and hardware patina that feels instantly broken in, while the black pickguard adds a cool, vintage hot rod attitude.
The two piece alder body is finished in nitro lacquer and left unbound for a clean, classic Tele silhouette. The rift sawn maple neck is shaped to a 60 Style Oval C profile, offering a comfortable, vintage inspired feel with just the right amount of substance. The AAA slab rosewood fingerboard, sorted for dark colour, provides a smooth playing surface with a 9.5 inch radius and 6105 narrow tall frets for modern precision and effortless bending.
A handwound 63 Tele neck pickup delivers warm, rounded clarity with classic Fender sweetness, while the handwound 63 Tele bridge pickup brings punch, bite and midrange authority. Together they offer a wide, expressive tonal range that stays true to the 60s Tele voice. Traditional Tele wiring and a 3 way switch keep everything intuitive and authentic.
Finished in Heavy Relic Gold Sparkle with beautifully aged lacquer and a standout black guard, this Tele blends Custom Shop flash with vintage workhorse soul.
