The Fender Custom Shop 60 Tele Custom Heavy Relic in Black captures the unmistakable look and feel of a well travelled early 60s Telecaster, complete with double bound body, period correct detailing and a lacquer finish aged to perfection. The Heavy Relic treatment delivers deep wear, lacquer checking and hardware patina that feels instantly familiar, as if the guitar has lived decades on the road.
The two piece alder body is fully bound on the top and bottom, offering classic Tele Custom style and resonant, balanced tone. The rift sawn maple neck is shaped to a 59 Esquire C profile for a substantial yet comfortable vintage inspired feel, paired with a AAA slab rosewood fingerboard sorted for dark colour. A 9.5 inch radius and 6105 narrow tall frets provide smooth, modern playability without losing the character of the era.
A handwound Twisted Tele neck pickup delivers open, articulate clarity with a hint of Strat like sweetness, while the handwound Loaded 51 Nocaster bridge pickup brings classic Tele bite, punch and midrange authority. Together they offer a wide, expressive tonal range that remains unmistakably Fender. Traditional Tele wiring and a 3 way switch keep everything intuitive and authentic.
Finished in Heavy Relic Black nitro lacquer with beautifully worn areas, exposed wood and purposeful ageing, this Tele Custom looks and feels like a true vintage workhorse from the moment you pick it up.
