This Fender Custom Shop 60 Tele is a beautiful example of how good a Journeyman Relic can look. The burst is perfectly balanced, rich in colour and gorgeous against the mint green pickguard that gives the guitar a classic early 60s vibe. The Journeyman finish adds gentle ageing and a broken in feel without going too heavy, and because the body and neck are finished in nitro, it will continue to wear tastefully as you play it.
The alder body is paired with a rift sawn maple neck for strength, stability and resonance. The AAA rosewood slab board is hand sorted for darkness, giving the guitar a premium look and a smooth, fast feel under the fingers. The 60 Style Oval C profile, 9.5 inch radius and 6105 narrow tall frets make this Tele exceptionally comfortable, with easy bends and clean fretwork all the way up the neck.
Handwound 63 Tele pickups deliver classic early 60s tone: clear, bright and articulate in the bridge, warm and rounded in the neck, and beautifully balanced in the middle position. The top hat switch completes the vintage aesthetic, giving the guitar that unmistakable early 60s Telecaster look.
This is a cool looking Tele with a timeless colour, premium woods and Custom Shop attention to detail throughout. It feels alive, plays beautifully and has all the character you want from a lightly aged 60s style build.
