This Fender Custom Shop 60 Tele Journeyman Relic in Black delivers the unmistakable charm of an early 60s Telecaster, lightly aged for a played in feel without the heavy wear of a full relic. The Journeyman treatment gives the lacquer a subtly worn, naturally faded look with gentle checking and soft edges, capturing decades of honest use while keeping the guitar clean and elegant.
The two piece alder body is finished in nitro lacquer for maximum resonance and authentic vintage character. The Rift Sawn Maple neck is shaped to a 60 Style Oval C profile, offering a comfortable, familiar feel that sits perfectly in the hand. The high-grade AAA Rosewood dark fingerboard provides a smooth playing surface, with a 9.5" radius and 6105 Narrow Tall frets for modern precision and effortless bending.
A Hand Wound 63 Tele neck pickup delivers warm, rounded clarity with classic Fender sweetness, while the Hand Wound 63 Tele bridge pickup brings punch, bite and midrange authority. Together they offer a wide, expressive tonal range that stays true to the 60s Tele voice. Traditional Tele wiring and a 3 way switch keep everything intuitive and authentic.
Finished in Black with tasteful Journeyman ageing, this Tele blends Custom Shop craftsmanship with understated vintage style.
