Since launching back in 1982, Mayones skilled team of world class luthiers deliver guitars of the highest quality. The Mayones Regius is a powerhouse rock machine and a real fan favourite! It’s a high-performance instrument built to handle just about any task you could think of. It really is designed to perform at the highest level.
The Regius body shape is extremely comfortable. It’s ergonomically designed, so your wrist feels comfortable and sits naturally above the pickups. As this is a Regius Core model, the top features a unique carve top design, which adds a three-dimensional look and feel to the guitar. It features a body crafted from T.E.W Swamp Ash and 5A Curly Poplar. Mayones’ T.E.W (Tonally Enhanced Wood) process involves roasting the wood, which helps to stabilise the wood and remove any excess moisture. This process also helps to increase the resonance and sustain of the guitar. The 5A Curly poplar top looks awesome, it’s got some really unique figuring throughout and looks great.
The 11-ply neck is crafted from T.E.W Maple, Wenge, and Maple. It features a thru-body neck design, meaning the neck extends directly through the body and is joined to the Swamp Ash body and Curly Poplar top. This style of construction is much more complex than traditional bolt-on or set-neck construction, but it really helps increase sustain and resonance. The Ebony fingerboard is dark in colour and features stainless steel frets, a 25.4” scale length, and a 16” radius.
The pickup choice really brings this guitar to life, with a pair of Mayones’ Velvetrone Ironside & Solium pickups, you get a great full frequency range and a really dynamic response. These pickups feature brushed nickel covers with custom black screws. With a Hipshot bridge and Hipshot tuners, this guitar offers flawless tuning stability and intonation.
