Mayones Aquila Elite V24 S 6 - Trans Custom Colour (Peach Guitars 20th Anniversary Guitar)

This summer, we’re celebrating 20 years of Peach Guitars under our current ownership! A lot has changed over the last two decades. What started as a small specialist guitar shop has grown into something much bigger, and we’re incredibly proud of what Peach Guitars has become. None of that would have been possible without the support of our customers, our brand partners, and the wider guitar community.

To help mark this incredible occasion, we've teamed up with our good friends at Mayones to commission five very special Peach Guitars 20th Anniversary instruments. Each one features a unique build specification that showcases Mayones' incredible craftsmanship and attention to detail.

The Aquila is one of our personal favourite Mayones body shapes. It features that traditional S-style DNA, but turns it up to 100 with a whole host of exciting modern features. As a body shape, it's extremely comfortable and easy to play both standing and sitting down, making it a great tool for using live, in the studio, or for practising at home. The body is crafted from black limba, which is a tonewood known for both looking and sounding amazing. It's famous for its striking dark streaks throughout and for having a warm, resonant, and super articulate tone. The top is crafted from master grade spalted maple, which is super unique and amazing to look at. Spalted maple is known for having unique dark lines running throughout, no two pieces will ever look the same, giving you a truly one of one instrument. To keep things classy, Mayones have included a nice sunburst finish with dark edges, which we think looks awesome.

The neck is crafted from 1-piece TEW maple, which is a popular timber choice for Mayones instruments. This piece of maple has been treated with Mayones' "Tonally Enhanced Wood" process, which involves roasting the timber to help stabilise the neck and remove excess moisture. This process also helps to increase the guitar's resonance and sustain. The neck also features a pair of carbon rods, which helps to limit the impact of temperature or humidity changes. The ebony fingerboard is super dark in colour and features a 25.4" scale length, stainless steel frets, a 12" radius, and 5mm abalone dot inlays.

The pickup choice really brings this guitar to life. With a pair of Mayones’ Velvetrone Chori & Solium pickups, you get a great full frequency range and a really dynamic response. These pickups feature brushed black covers and nickel screws, which really compliment the body finish. With a Gotoh 510 bridge and Gotoh locking tuners, this guitar offers flawless tuning stability and intonation. Each Peach Guitars 20th anniversary guitar also features a custom back plate that features the Peach Guitars logo, and the phrase "20 years of tone!"

This is one of the most unique Mayones instruments we've ever seen, and one that is very special to us here at Peach Guitars. We've loved designing these in partnership with Mayones, and we hope you enjoying playing it just as much.
