Mayones Aquila Elite S 7 B26.5 Lava Burst Gloss

This Aquila Elite S features a T.E.W Swamp Ash body which has received Mayones’ unique “Tonally Enhanced Wood”, this increases the resonance and stability of the wood. This body is paired up with a 4A grade Curly Poplar top, which is a great choice. Visually, Curly Poplar looks very similar to Figured Maple, and this particular model features prominent figuring right across the entire top. It’s stained with Mayones’ Lava Burst finish, which is one of their most iconic and vibrant colour options. The Curly Poplar top is further enhanced with a gloss finish, which makes the figuring even more eye-catching.

The 1-piece Wenge neck is reinforced with a pair of carbon rods, which help to ensure excellent stability and resistance to humidity and temperate changes. The profile is comfortable, it’s the perfect thickness you’d want for an instrument like this. It’s thin enough to allow for quick shredding, but still super comfortable for those who like to cup the neck with their palm. The fretboard is crafted from 4A grade T.E.W Birdseye Maple, which has a lovely dark colour to it with just the right amount of birdseye figuring on show. It features a 26.5” baritone scale length, 16” radius, stainless steel frets, centred abalone dot inlays, Luminlay side dots, and a matching headstock.

The pickup choice really brings this guitar to life, with a duo of Mayones’ Velvetrone Ironside & Solium pickups, you get a great full frequency range and a really dynamic response. These pickups feature brushed nickel covers with custom gold screws. You also have a high quality hipshot 7 bridge, and hipshot GripLock in line tuners, both of which feature mixed black and gold components, which show the incredible attention to detail that Mayones pride themselves on.
