Mayones Regius 7 - Trans Custom Colour (Peach Guitars 20th Anniversary Guitar)

This summer, we’re celebrating 20 years of Peach Guitars under our current ownership! A lot has changed over the last two decades. What started as a small specialist guitar shop has grown into something much bigger, and we’re incredibly proud of what Peach Guitars has become. None of that would have been possible without the support of our customers, our brand partners, and the wider guitar community.

To help mark this incredible occasion, we've teamed up with our good friends at Mayones to commission five very special Peach Guitars 20th Anniversary instruments. Each one features a unique build specification that showcases Mayones' incredible craftsmanship and attention to detail.

This Regius is truly something special and unlike anything we've seen before! It features a comfortable, ergonomically designed body shape, so your wrist sits naturally above the pickups for a really comfortable playing experience. The body features swamp ash wings, which play a crucial role in the neck-through construction. Swamp ash is known for its lightweight nature and snappy tone, which really helps this Regius cut through both live and in the studio. The top really is the standout feature. It's crafted from 3A eye poplar, figured maple, and epoxy resin. Each piece of timber has been individually stained and combined to create one of the most striking guitars we've ever seen. The 3A eye poplar is split directly down the middle, with the gap filled with flame maple and stabilised using epoxy resin. To us, this guitar looks like a river of lava flowing down the side of a volcano!  It also features red pearloid top binding, which is a classy touch. This is one of those guitars that is impossible to re-create, so if you want something truly one of a kind, then this is for you.

The 11-ply neck is crafted from maple, mahogany, wenge, and amazakoe. It features a through-body neck design, meaning the neck extends directly through the body and is joined to the swamp ash wings. This style of construction is much more complex than traditional bolt-on or set-neck construction, but it really helps increase sustain and resonance. The ebony fingerboard is dark in colour, which looks great paired up with the vibrant colour of the top. It features a 25.4" scale length, stainless steel frets, and a 16" radius.

The pickup choice really brings this guitar to life. With a pair of Mayones’ Velvetrone Ironside & Solium pickups, you get a great full frequency range and a really dynamic response. These pickups feature brushed nickel covers with custom black screws. With a Hipshot bridge and Hipshot tuners, this guitar offers flawless tuning stability and intonation. Each Peach Guitars 20th anniversary guitar also features a custom back plate that features the Peach Guitars logo, and the phrase "20 years of tone!"

This is one of the most unique Mayones instruments we've ever seen, and one that is very special to us here at Peach Guitars. We've loved designing these in partnership with Mayones, and we hope you enjoying playing it just as much.
