The JHS PackRat is a comprehensive tribute to the iconic ProCo RAT, offering nine distinct analog circuits in one pedal. Each mode replicates a classic or rare version of the RAT, including vintage units, modded variants, and JHS’s own original voicing. Using a unique rotary selector, the PackRat rewires its internal analog components to match the exact specs of each version - no digital emulation, no shortcuts.

The modes include:

  • OG (1979-83) - Original V1/V2 circuit
  • White Face V3 (1984-86) - Classic square enclosure with scooped mids
  • Turbo V6 (1989) - High-output symmetrical clipping
  • BRAT (1997) - Budget RAT with input buffer and soft clipping
  • Dirty V7 - Gritty, lo-fi variant
  • LA - Boutique-style mod
  • Landgraff MO'D - High-gain boutique distortion
  • Caroline - Experimental fuzz/distortion hybrid
  • JHS Mode - Custom voicing with refined mids and clarity

Controls include Volume, Distortion, and Filter, with a Mode knob to select your circuit. The PackRat uses the same digital routing system found in the Muffuletta and Bonsai, but the signal path remains 100% analog.
