The JHS Moonshine V2 is a bold, mid-heavy overdrive pedal inspired by the legendary green box but reimagined with more gain, more flexibility, and a distinct voice. It retains the familiar Volume, Tone, and Drive layout, but adds two key features: a Clean blend knob and a Proof toggle switch for selecting between low and high gain modes.
The Clean knob lets you blend in your dry signal for added clarity and punch - perfect for retaining pick attack or stacking with other drives. The Proof switch toggles between two gain structures:
- Up position offers more headroom, clarity, and open crunch
- Down position delivers saturated, compressed distortion with thick mids
Internally, the Moonshine V2 uses a 9V to 18V charge pump, giving it increased headroom, low-end response, and dynamic range while still running on standard 9V power. Whether you're chasing SRV-style grit, Dumble-esque leads, or a powerful clean boost, the Moonshine V2 delivers rich, musical drive with unmistakable character.
