The Gibson Falcon 20 is two channel amplifier with a focus on great tone and ease of use. The ultra-simple, pure signal path design has controls consisting of Volume, Tone and Reverb. Plus, the addition of Reverb and Tremolo which features global Depth & Frequency controls. The Reverb and Tremolo can be controlled via the included footswitch. It features 2x 6V6 Power tubes and a 4x 12AX7 Preamp Tubes. Randall’s five decades of experience really shines through here, this amp might be lower in power, but it’s certainly mighty in tone!
One of the key ingredients for a great overdriven tone is power amp overdrive, which is just one of the many areas that the Dual Falcon excels at. It delivers a crisp, harmonically rich overdriven tone at a volume that’s ideal for both home use and studio recording.
The Dual Falcon includes Mesa Boogies Multi-Watt control, allowing you to tailor the amps wattage to your personal preference. Players can select between Full, Half, or Low (15, 6, or 2-Watt) power modes of patented Multi-Watt, 6V6, Pure Class A Power, or 12, 5, or 1-Watts with optional 6L6 Power Tubes, providing three levels of expressive, vintage Gibson tone and feel. This power flexibility enables even more ways to transition in and out of clip seamlessly and musically and making the Dual Falcon an ideal amp for club gigs, home practice, and recording purposes.
All this vintage-flavoured magic is brought to life via the unique mid-enhanced voice from a pair of 10” Jensen Blackbird 40 Alnico speaker, which perfectly complements the volume range and single-ended Class A power section. With its modern refinements, high-end performance, and boutique construction, the Dual Falcon is a vintage amp dream delivered with a sturdy, consistent modern design ethos.
