The Fender Custom Shop LTD '62/'63 Stratocaster Journeyman Relic is a premium instrument built to capture the feel, sound, and playability of a classic early-'60s Strat. Constructed with a sort for lightweight alder body, it is finished in Aged Olympic White nitrocellulose lacquer with a Journeyman Relic treatment. This thin nitro finish not only provides a lightly aged aesthetic but also enhances resonance and sustain by allowing the body to vibrate more freely. Over time, it will continue to age naturally, giving the guitar unique character with use.
The Rift Sawn maple neck is crafted for stability and smooth playability. Its compound 7.25"-9.5" radius fretboard with 21 medium vintage frets supports both comfortable chord playing and precise bending higher up the neck. The '63 "C"-shape profile, measuring .830" at the 1st fret and 1.00" at the 12th, offers a balanced feel that suits a wide range of playing styles. With a 1.650" nut width, players benefit from an ideal balance between string spacing and ease of fretting, making it a reliable choice for both rhythm and lead work.
