Peach's John designed this exceptional guitar with a specific audience in mind - those who appreciate the unparalleled craftsmanship of a Fender Custom Shop instrument but prefer their guitars pristine and untouched by the renowned yet intentionally destructive hands of the Fender Custom Shop's relic artists! He selected a vibrant Cherry-style Sunburst finish to inject a fresh, lively character into the instrument, perfectly complemented by a crisp, clean white pickguard that adds to its classy appeal.
But this guitar is not just any Custom Shop creation; it's also a tribute to a milestone in music history - the 70th anniversary of the Stratocaster. Celebrating seven decades of the world's most iconic and arguably greatest electric guitar, this Stratocaster is a true platinum anniversary model. The two-piece select ash body, with its carefully placed offset seam on the treble side, is simply breathtaking. The transparent lacquer finish showcases the natural beauty of the wood as if it had been transported from 1954 to the present day without a single scratch, embodying an air of pure class and sophistication.
The neck is where the magic continues. Crafted from a single piece of quartersawn maple, it features a special 70th anniversary Soft V profile, inspired by an extraordinary Strat neck from July 1954. The vintage compound-radius fingerboard, with a 7.25" to 9.5" taper, is outfitted with 21 medium vintage (47095) frets and a 1.625" bone nut, providing the ideal blend of playability and comfort. Under the hood, three Custom Shop hand-wound '54 Strat pickups deliver the quintessential Strat sound, with clear, bell-like highs that define the classic Stratocaster voice. These pickups are routed through authentic vintage '54 Strat wiring with a wax paper capacitor and five-way switching for versatile tonal options. Does it get any better than that?!
Further enhancing this guitar's premium appeal are its authentic first-year Stratocaster features: a single-ply white pickguard and matching serial-number back plate, 1954-style ABS white pickup covers and control knobs, a Custom Shop vintage synchronised tremolo bridge, vintage-style tuners, and a disc string tree. The special 70th Anniversary Stratocaster neck plate, deluxe embroidered hardshell case, exclusive case candy, and a certificate of authenticity complete the package.
This beauty really is a one-of-a-kind Strat. As a 70th Anniversary model, meticulously tweaked by John to cater to those who cherish the feel of a vintage guitar with all the advantages of modern craftsmanship, it stands as a true original. We won't be able to get another like this, making it an unrepeatable opportunity for discerning players and collectors alike.
