The Fender Jazzmaster is one of the most popular lines in the Fender offset collection, a real player's favourite; it has been a staple in the roster for over 50 years. The Fender Custom Shop '61 Jazzmaster is an absolute pinnacle of Fender offset design.
This guitar has some serious mojo! The 2-piece Alder body is finished in a relic Fiesta Red nitro lacquer, period correct. Authentically aged, this finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. It also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively compared with other more modern finishes.
Jazzmasters have seen a resurgence of late and this particular model is bound to attract some serious interest. The rift sawn Maple neck features a cracking sort for dark AAA grade Rosewood fingerboard, 21 medium vintage frets, a 10" radius and a 62 Jazzmaster profile that measures .820" at the 1st fret and .900" at the 12th.
The Wide Range CuNiFe humbucker pickups deliver rich, bell-like tone with full bass and clear treble. CuNiFe pickups have 'hi-fi' clarity yet never lose their attack and definition no matter how hard they are pushed.
With an adjustable jazzmaster bridge and vintage style tuning heads you get great stability and intonation, this is a real players guitar.
