This guitar is new but as it was a cancelled order, selling it as "used" is probably the fairest way.

Dale Wilson is known across the globe as one of Fenders highly revered Masterbuilders, a select group of the worlds most esteemed luthiers. With this Godly status, any guitar with his name attached generates a huge amount of interest, and rightly so. It's no wonder Fender have closed his order book, he simply can't keep up with the demand for his illustrious instruments

The Fender Custom Shop Dale Wilson Masterbuilt 50's Strat Heavy Relic is a great example of the legendary prowess of the Masterbuilders.

The Spruce body is finished in a stunning 2-Tone Sunburst nitro lacquer. Authentically aged, this finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. You truly can't appreciate how awesome this body feels until you run your fingers over the deep ridges in the body. The thin nitro finish also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively. I'll definitely be ordering more guitars with Spruce bodies - it feels amazing and tonally it sits somewhere between Alder and Ash. 

The AAA grade Flame Maple neck is just gorgeous and it has a nice smooth feel to match. It has a  9.5" radius and 21 "Vintage upgrade" frets, which are slightly taller and wider than your average vintage wire. The 57 Soft "V" neck profile is extremely comfortable and easily sits in the natural curve of your hand. It measures .820" at the 1st fret and .920" at the 12th fret.

With the Stratocaster design being considered by many to be the original workhorse guitar, the Custom Shop 50's Stratocaster needs a pickup selection that can deliver the classic Strat sound. With a trio of hand-wound Josefina Fat 50's pickups, it boasts a versatile and well balanced selection. It has shimmer in abundance when played clean and the drive tones are thick enough without ever losing the classic Strat "Quack"
