A faithful recreation of a 1964 Jazz Bass, this instrument captures the essence of Fender’s mid-‘60s golden era with a 2-piece alder body finished in a dazzling NOS Silver Sparkle nitrocellulose lacquer—a vibrant, eye-catching hue that reflects light with a mesmerizing shimmer, maintaining a factory-fresh appearance straight from the Custom Shop. The quartersawn maple neck, carved to a ‘64 “U” profile (.790" at 1st fret, .990" at 12th), is paired with a rosewood fingerboard featuring a 7.25" radius, 20 vintage frets, and clay dot inlays, offering a 34" scale length for an authentic ‘60s playing experience.
This ‘64 Jazz Bass is equipped with Vintage Jazz Bass single-coil pickups, delivering the quintessential J-Bass tone—punchy, growling, and articulate—with the warm, defined character that defined the era. Wired with two volume controls, a master tone control, and a 3-ply white pickguard, it offers versatile tonal shaping for everything from funky slaps to smooth jazz lines. The vintage-style 4-saddle bridge ensures solid intonation and sustain, while vintage-style tuning keys in nickel/chrome finish add period-correct aesthetics.
