The Fender Custom Shop do some pretty special things and really push the boundaries of Leo Fenders vision. Fresh of the workbench this 1956 Active Strat by Todd Krause is from the Fender Winter 2021 Custom Shop Event
Todd Krause is known across the globe as one of Fenders highly revered Masterbuilders, a select group of the worlds most esteemed luthiers. With this Godly status, any guitar with his name attached generates a huge amount of interest, and rightly so.
A sort for lightweight Alder body is finished in a majestic Faded British Racing Green finish. The Journeyman is a very lightly aged nitro finish; this gives the look and feel of a vintage guitar that has been lovingly cared for over the years. This finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. It also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively compared with other more modern finishes.
The 1-Piece Rift Sawn Maple neck has a smooth finish and looks incredible. With a 9.5" radius and 21 6105 frets, the '56 Custom Shop Stratocaster also features a Custom Fat "V" neck shape. It's supremely comfortable and well balanced.
With a trio of Vintage Noiseless pickups it delivers all the sweeping, versatile tones you would expect from a Strat. Rich and smooth, it's a premium Stratocaster tone. The crowning feature of this Masterbuilt strat is the inclusion of an Active Boost, providing that little bit extra tone when needed This super cool piece features a Vintage Synchronized Trem in conjunction with Vintage Tuners, have no concerns about intonation and tuning, this beauty is incredibly secure.
Yet another absolute stunner from the guys at the Fender Custom Shop!
