The StingRay bass has a rich history going way back to the 70s as one of the first production basses to feature active electronics. It revolutionised the sound of bass and went hand in hand with the growing popularity of slap and funk and it is still just as desirable today as it was 50 years ago - it's a timeless classic! To commemorate this 50th Anniversary, EBMM are releasing this exquisite StingRay Special finished in Molten Gold and limited to 300 pieces world wide. The photos really don't do justice to how cool this bass looks in person.
The adornments don't stop at the finish though, with full gold hardware, gold control panel, and a specially worn gold pickup cover with gold pole pieces. It even has gold dot inlays.
Loaded with a neodymium-powered humbucker, you get that instantly recognisable StingRay tone with increased output, expanded frequency range, and extra dynamic range. Paired with the 18V 3-band active preamp, this bass can be tailored for any application you need.
