The Lollar Imperial Neck humbucker is voiced to capture the warmth, clarity and dynamic feel of the best original 1950s PAF pickups. It draws from the qualities that made those early humbuckers so revered, while offering improved frequency balance for a more consistent and articulate response across the fretboard. The result is a neck pickup that feels open, expressive and richly musical without becoming muddy or congested.
The Imperial Neck delivers smooth highs, a clear and present midrange and a tight, controlled low end that keeps chords defined and single notes full of character. It excels at clean and edge-of-breakup tones, offering excellent touch sensitivity and note separation. With a DC resistance of 7.6K, it sits firmly in the low-output PAF range, giving you vintage sweetness with modern refinement.
Finished in nickel and equipped with 4conductor wiring, this version allows for coil-splitting and more advanced switching options while maintaining the authentic PAF voice at its core. It pairs perfectly with the 8.4K Imperial Bridge for smooth volume and tonal balance between positions.
Average DC resistance: Neck 7.6K.
