The Lollar Imperial Low Wind Set is designed for players who want the clarity, openness and dynamic feel of the best late 50s PAFs, but with a brighter, more articulate response that suits darker-sounding guitars. Drawing directly from the qualities of original 1950s PAF pickups, the Imperial design improves overall frequency balance while giving the bridge position a subtle output boost for better volume matching.
The Low Wind version offers more treble response and a tighter, cleaner low end than the standard Imperial, making it an exceptional choice for semi-hollow and hollow-body guitars, or any instrument that naturally leans warm. The pickups remain touch-sensitive and open, with excellent note separation and a smooth, musical midrange that never becomes congested.
The neck pickup sits at 7.0K for clarity and definition, while the 7.9K bridge provides a balanced, vintage-correct output with added articulation. Finished in nickel with single-conductor wiring, this set delivers a refined, expressive PAF-style voice that feels alive under the fingers.
Average DC resistance: Neck 7.0K, Bridge 7.9K.
