Those words introduce what many music lovers feel is one of the best live albums ever recorded. To commemorate the release of King’s iconic “Live at the Regal” album, Gibson Custom have released a Limited 100 piece Murphy Lab take on B.B. King’s incredible Argentine Grey Sunburst ES-335, the star of the “Live at the Regal” show!
With a 3-ply Maple/Poplar/Maple construction finished in Argentine Grey it looks super slick. The original guitar used at Live at the Regal was a custom order ’59 ES-335 which featured a few features not usually found on production guitars at the time asas the factory fitted Bigsby and Varitone switch.
The Mahogany neck features an authentic ’59 Medium C shaped neck for a quick and comfortable playing experience. The Indian Rosewood fingerboard is dark and rich in colour whilst decorated beautifully with dot inlays. A 24.75 scale length, 22 vintage frets and Nylon nut complete the playing experience.
This guitar is loaded with a pair of Unpotted Gibson Custombucker pickups. The Custombucker’s are super responsive and deliver stunning note definition, while the ABR-1 bridge and Grover Milk Bottle Rotomatic tuners allow for incredible stability
This guitar pays homage to one of the all time greats. It’s a true piece of history.
