Description

Vincent Van Trigt is known across the globe as one of Fenders highly revered Masterbuilders, a select group of the worlds most esteemed luthiers. With this Godly status, any guitar with his name attached generates a huge amount of interest, and rightly so. The Fender Custom Shop Vincent Van Trigt Masterbuilt '65 Strat Heavy Relic is a great example of the legendary prowess of the Masterbuilders.

An Alder body is finished in the super sweet Aged Lake Placid Blue, one of Fender's most loved finish options, it's a real beauty! Authentically aged, this finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. The thin nitro finish also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively. Vincent is one of the Kings of relic work at the custom shop and this certainly doesn't disappoint though!

The quartersawn Maple neck has a smooth finish. With an AAA sort for dark Rosewood fingerboard, 9.5" radius and 21 narrow tall frets, the '65 Custom Shop Stratocaster can handle anything you throw at it without even breaking a sweat; it's supremely comfortable and well balanced. The 65 Strat C profile is a joy to play and offers a great platform for both rhythm and lead playing, it measures at .825" at the 1st fret and .945" at the 12th fret.

With a trio of hand wound Fender Custom Shop Josefina Hand Wound 60's pickups it delivers all the sweeping, versatile tones you would expect from a Strat. With a crisp harmonic content and a really refined and precise tone, the 60s are some of the most versatile single coils around, a great choice for this guitar! It also includes the Custom Shop's Tone Blender wiring for extra versatility

Supreme quality from top to bottom and shipped in a Fender Custom Shop hardcase, it's easy to see the Fender Masterbuilders are so highly regarded. Guitars of this calibre just don't come around every day, we love it and we're pretty sure you will to!
