The Fender Custom Shop do some pretty special things, and with the Fender Custom Shop '67 Telecaster they hark right back to the early days of Leo Fenders vision.
With an Ash body, finished in Pink Paisley, this guitar is super resonant and has a really bold tone. The NOS nitro finish gives this guitar the appearance of if it had come straight off of the production line in 1967. This finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. It also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively compared with other more modern finishes.
The Roasted Quartersawn Maple neck is finished in nitro lacquer for a smooth, authentic, vintage feel. With a 9.5" radius, 21 narrow tall frets and a 25.5"scale length, it's a real joy to play. With a 65 Strat C profile, measuring .820" at the 1st fret and .974" at the 12th fret, it feels great underhand.
With the Telecaster design being considered by many to be the original workhorse guitar, the Custom Shop '67 Telecaster needs a pickup pairing that can deliver the classic Tele' twang. With a hand wound 67 Tele pickup in neck and hand wound 64 Tele pickup in bridge, it boasts an authentic and well balanced selection.
Yet another absolute stunner from the guys at the Fender Custom Shop!
