This Fender Custom Shop '61 Strat Journeyman Relic is everything we love about a golden-era Strat - brought to life by the most respected hands in the game. Finished in beautifully faded Fiesta Red lacquer with just the right amount of tasteful wear, this two-piece alder-bodied tone machine delivers attitude, resonance and serious vintage character.
At the heart of it is a full trio of handwound Fat '60s pickups by Josefina Campos, Fender's Master Pickup Winder and one of the true artisans of modern pickup craft. Expect bold low-end, scooped mids and shimmering clarity - vintage tone with room to breathe. Controlled via a classic 5-way switch and smoothed out by 250K 10% taper split pots, it's a tone-chaser's dream right out of the gate.
The neck is a serious highlight - built from quartersawn maple, carved to a 60 Style Oval "C" profile (.830"), and topped with a dark-sorted AAA 9 mm rosewood fretboard. Wide white micarta dots keep it vintage-correct, while Jumbo 6100 frets and a 9.5" radius make it feel fast, expressive and gig-ready.
Every detail is dialled in - from the nut width (1.650") to the vintage-style relic work, this one's built to be played. Strings ship as 10-46, but we'll happily set up your dream specs at no extra cost during our full pre-shipping setup.
