Electro-Harmonix Op Amp Big Muff Pi | Fuzz/Distortion/Sustainer

This pedal originally came out in the 1970s and was used heavily by Billy Corgan on the Smashing Pumpkins' awesome Siamese Dream album.  This reissue brings the same circuit but in a smaller and more modern package.  The other big bonus is that these ones sell for significantly less than the original ones do!

Description

This pedal originally came out in the 1970s and was used heavily by Billy Corgan on the Smashing Pumpkins' awesome Siamese Dream album.  This reissue brings the same circuit but in a smaller and more modern package.  The other big bonus is that these ones sell for significantly less than the original ones do!

This awesome looking analogue pedal features the IC (V4 Big Muff) circuitry but in a compact unit with true bypass added.  The main difference with this particular incarnation of the Big Muff is the use of op-amps rather than transistors and the fact it has three gain stages instead of four.  It definitely has a voice of its own and is well suited to... anything noisy and heavy!  Comes with a 9-volt battery.
