With its high-quality materials, precise craftsmanship, and professional-grade electronics, the FV680CE is built for exceptional tone, playability, and durability.
The guitar features a 15" x 3 1/4" body with a AAA tight-grained spruce top and flamed mahogany back and sides, ensuring a warm, resonant tone with excellent projection. The Truetone Gloss finish enhances the wood's natural acoustic properties while providing a durable and visually appealing surface. A 4-ply ivoroid binding adds a refined aesthetic touch, highlighting the instrument's attention to detail.
The mahogany neck is shaped in a Traditional Even C profile, offering a comfortable and balanced feel for effortless playability. The 25 3/8" scale length and 12" fingerboard radius contribute to smooth fretting and precise intonation. The ebony fingerboard, combined with 22 Jescar FW47104 frets, ensures a fast, responsive playing experience, while the bone nut (1.72") enhances sustain and clarity. High-quality Gotoh SEP780-06MGG tuners provide reliable tuning stability.
Equipped with a Lollar Johnny Smith neck pickup, the FV680CE delivers a well-balanced tonal profile with clear highs, moderate midrange, and excellent string separation, even when adjusting the guitar's tone controls. This pickup makes the guitar well-suited for a variety of playing styles, from warm jazz comping to articulate soloing.
