The X2 is a highly versatile, multi-role overdrive unit, it's equally at home being used with a clean amp thicken up your tone or for pushing an overdriven amp into saturated tonal heaven. With super easy and simple controls you can really sculpt the X2 to taste.
The "Gain" is used to dial in the desired amount of gain. Use the "Clip" switch to alter the clipping style from an asymmetrical low threshold, symmetrical high threshold and a medium threshold with harder clipping. Moving the "Lows" and "Highs" parameters allows you to adjust the frequency range of the pedal, and with the overall level control you can to set the pedals output.
The X2 runs from standard 9-volt DC power but is boosted to 18 volts internally to provide exceptional headroom. This means the X2 can produce a massive output signal, great for driving the in- put of a valve amplifier into heavy overdrive.
