The Yamaha APX700II Left-Handed Electro-Acoustic Guitar is designed to deliver premium playability, tonal accuracy, and stage-ready performance. Based on Yamaha's high-end 1000 series, the APX700II features the proprietary ART (Acoustic Resonance Transducer) pickup system. This innovative design captures the full resonance of the guitar body with exceptional clarity and dynamic balance. By detecting subtle body vibrations while reducing unwanted noise, the ART system ensures the guitar's natural tone is preserved when amplified, making it ideal for live use or recording.
The APX700II features a slim, thin-line body with a depth of 80-90mm, which provides excellent playing comfort and easy access to upper frets - perfect for performing guitarists. Its non-scalloped X-type bracing enhances resonance while maintaining structural integrity, allowing the solid spruce top to produce a rich, balanced sound with bright mids, smooth highs, and controlled lows. The signature oval soundhole enhances lower-mid response, creating a fuller and more articulate low end. Combined, these design elements result in a well-rounded acoustic tone that performs equally well unplugged or through a sound system.
Equipped with Yamaha's System 64 preamp and ART pickup, the APX700II delivers accurate and natural-sounding amplification. The dual contact pickups underneath the saddle were specifically voiced to match the instrument's tonal characteristics after extensive testing. The preamp runs on AA batteries, offering stable power and high sound quality, and also features a built-in tuner for convenience. Constructed with a solid spruce top, nato back, sides, and neck, and a rosewood fingerboard and bridge, this guitar offers reliable build quality, excellent sustain, and long-lasting performance. Additional features include a 43mm nut width, 650mm scale length, and die-cast chrome tuners for precise tuning stability.
