Yamaha A Series | A1R - Tobacco Brown Sunburst
Solid Sitka Spruce Top, Rosewood Back & Sides
Peach are proud to stock Yamaha's entire range of A Series guitars. The A Series has three main model groups - the A5, A3 and A1. These guitars were designed from the ground up by Yamaha to be the ultimate performance acoustic instruments. They suit both life on the road and enjoyable off-stage performance and practice. Please scroll down for further info on this specific model.
This beautiful guitar is built in Yamaha's A body shape. This is a traditional dreadnought design, complimented by a cutaway for excellent access to the higher frets and a modern look. This body has a wide lower bout, giving it exceptional bass and a full punchy tone overall. The top shoulders give it the clear highs that it needs for articulation.
Having rosewood back and sides allows this guitar to achieve the balanced warmth that compliments the bright and articulate tones produced by the top.
Thoroughly designed for an excellent plugged-in sound, this instrument features Yamaha's SRT pickup. This pickup offers a superior tone and performance to that of a more traditional ribbon piezo. The reason for this is that each string is treated to its own elements for a clean and dynamic response.
Yamaha are no strangers to making acoustic guitars and have used their decades of experience to create an extremely comfortable neck. Having added the opinions of many players, builders and guitar techs into the mix, the result is a neck that feels easy to play with excellent high access. The finishing touch is hand-rolled fingerboard edges for a comfortable, played-in feel.
