For me, this is one of the standouts from the amazing batch of Tom Anderson guitars we've just had in. Whilst not the flashiest, it is very visually refined, sonically flexible, and built for serious players. This beautiful Icon Classic features a roasted pine body finished in a stunning satin gold top - rich, warm, and beautifully muted. The chrome pickup surrounds frame the PH1 neck and HC2 bridge pickups and add to the guitars boutique, high-end aesthetic. Lightweight and resonant, it comes in under 7lbs, making it a joy to play for hours.
The caramel maple neck with 50's V-Small +.020 carve offers a vintage feel with modern comfort. Heavy frets and a 1 11/16-inch nut width provide confident fretting and smooth bends. Chrome hardware, black pickguard, and satin natural neck finishes complete the look.
Tonally, the PH1 delivers clarity and warmth, while the HC2 adds punch and depth. The 5-way switching includes series and split options for expanded versatility. With the Buzz Feiten tuning system onboard, intonation is spot-on across the board.
What an amazing batch of guitars we've had in from Anderson, just adding to our already incredible roster. Every one is pure perfection.
