The Taylor Gold Label 517e is a bold, soulful electro-acoustic that channels the warmth and character of vintage acoustics with the clarity and comfort of modern Taylor design. Built with a torrefied Sitka spruce top and solid tropical mahogany back and sides, this Grand Pacific model delivers a rich, earthy voice with strong midrange presence and a played-in sweetness right out of the case.
The body is slightly deeper than standard, giving it more "lung capacity" for enhanced low-end power and projection, while the fanned V-Class bracing boosts sustain and improves intonation across the fretboard. The long-tenon Action Control Neck joint enhances resonance and allows for precise, shimless neck angle adjustments - a game-changer for setup flexibility.
Appointments include a West African Crelicam ebony fretboard, Honduran rosewood Curve Wing bridge, cream binding, and a firestripe pickguard with a unique shape. The Crest inlays and script-style Taylor logo on the modified headstock add a boutique touch. Plug in with confidence thanks to the LR Baggs Element VTC pickup, and carry it in style with the included British Cocoa deluxe hardshell case.
