Taylor are world renowned for their ability to craft beautiful guitars perfect for the working musician. With their effortless playability and stunning design, they are considered one of the very best acoustic manufacturers around.
The Taylor GT-611 is the latest new release and boasts a smaller size, a bigger sound and some serious fun! Short for Grand Theatre, the GT is crafted in Taylor's California factory and features some really unique features, the dimensions sit between the popular GS Mini and the Grand Concert for a guitar that is supremely comfortable with a huge sonic personality.
With a solid Sitka Spruce top and stunning Figured Big Leaf Maple back and sides, the Taylor GT is equally at home fingerpicking or strumming big, brash chords. Big Leaf Maple as a tonewood has a bright and pleasing sound, it has incredible sustain, resonance and allows for great volume.
Another great feature is the new C Class bracing, taking the functional benefits of V Class, C Class bracing refers to the cantilevered, asymmetrical, design which combines flexibility and rigidity in a way that helps push the lower end, a great feature on a smaller bodied guitar.
The smoky Ebony fingerboard looks superb and sits upon a comfortable and easy to navigate Mahogany neck. The scale length is 24.125", slightly longer than a GS Mini but slightly shorter than a Grand Concert. It's comfortable, well balanced and easy underhand, a brilliant addition to the Taylor range.
