The 514ce is undoubtedly one of Taylor's most appealing instruments. The use of Solid Red Cedar and Solid Mahogany creates a warm and touch sensitive tone For 2026 Taylor are taking this awesome model to a whole new level. Apart of the Next Generation collection, these guitars have new performance-enhancing features that deliver a step forward in the tone, feel, and live performance versatility of the acclaimed Grand Auditorium model.
The first of these improvements starts with the neck joint. The Long-Tenon Action Control neck improves neck-to-body vibration transfer for a warmer and deeper voicing whilst the unique action control allows for quick and precise adjustments to string-height for on-the-go humidity or playing style changes. These features have been in development for years and are one of the biggest changes that Taylor have made in the past 20 years.
The Scalloped V-Class Bracing is Taylor's next new addition - combining the warm low-end and rich resonance of scalloped bracing with the balanced tone, pitch accuracy, and projection that comes with V-Class bracing.
The final enhancement comes in the form of the all-new Claria System Acoustic Electronics. Building on Taylor's ES electronics, the Claria has taken on the extensive feedback from touring artists and sound engineers to consistently deliver stage-ready tones - no matter the venue. The proprietary preamp shapes the undersaddle pickup to be less harsh, with soundhole controls to further tweak volume, tone, and the Mid-Contour.
