The expressiveness of the Grand Concert body paired with the Gold Label innovations which add surprising rhythmic capability and made for the perfect baseline for Ben Harper to create his signature model from.
Built with a torrefied Sitka spruce top and solid mahogany back and sides, this Dreadnought model delivers a deep, resonant voice with strong midrange presence and a played-in sweetness right out of the case. Ben's choice of Honduran rosewood, for not just the bridge but the fretboard as well, adds that extra personality to the voicing, thanks to Honduran rosewood's ability to transmit more of the character of the string vibration into the top.
The body is slightly deeper than standard, giving it more "lung capacity" for enhanced low-end power and warmth, while the fanned V-Class bracing boosts sustain and improves intonation across the fretboard. The long-tenon Action Control Neck joint enhances resonance and allows for precise, shimless neck angle adjustments - a game-changer for setup flexibility.
Appointments include custom Shaded Edgeburst top, polished bronze tuners, bone bridge pins, cream binding, and a cream pickguard. The Crest inlays and script-style Taylor logo on the modified headstock add a boutique touch. Plug in with confidence thanks to the Taylor Claria System, and carry it in style with the included British Cocoa deluxe hardshell case.
