The Hot Rodded humbucker set was conceived way back in 1974 and to this day remains one of the most popular and versatile combos ever built.
With a JB humbucker in the bridge position it enables you to get a wealth of tones from any guitar. The JB will handle anything from blues and country right through to metal. Tonally the JB has a great upper midrange attack while maintaining a tight low end and rich highs with a singing harmonic quality.
The neck position gives way to the Jazz Model for a tight low end and glassy highs, the scooped midrange gives this pickup its own smooth, tonal character and provides a great balanced sound. Originally designed to pair with the JB bridge pickup the Jazz is just as versatile and has been used by some iconic players from Randy Rhoads to Jeff Beck.
The Hot Rodded humbucker set is hand built in Seymour Duncans Santa Barbara, CA factory using alnico 5 bar magnets, nickel silver bottom plates and use 4-conductor wire for a range of wiring options. This set is also wax potted for squeal-free performance.
