The California 50's Strat set deliver that classic 50s Strat twang and spank. Each of the SSL-1 is a vintage-correct reproduction of an original Strat pickups using Alnico 5 magnets arranged in a vintage stagger position. The build process also includes the use of heavy Formvar magnet wire, forbon bobbins and a waxed cloth hookup cable to provide that rue vintage tone. The California 50s set also features a reverse wound, reverse pole piece pickup in the middle position which allows for hum cancelling in the in-between selector positions
