PRS Wood Library Custom 24 Semi-Hollow Faded Indigo Flame Artist Top w/Awabi Birds

This PRS Wood Library Custom 24 Semi-Hollow takes the classic Custom 24 design and pushes it even further. With its semi-hollow construction, Artist Grade top, and stunning Private Stock colour finish, this is a special guitar that’s well worth checking out.

This Custom 24 starts with a traditional mahogany body paired with a highly figured flame maple top. PRS are known for using beautifully figured maple, but this particular top really is a cut above the rest. This is an “Artist Grade” top, which sits above the much more common “10 Top” grade. To earn the Artist Grade classification, the maple must display even greater depth, curl, and overall visual character. It’s the sort of top that immediately stands out the moment you open the case. As this is a semi-hollow instrument, it also features an f-hole carved into the top. You also have PRS’s signature violin carve, which gives the guitar an incredible premium look and feel.

The neck is crafted from Cuban mahogany and is extremely comfortable and easy to navigate. It features the PRS pattern thin neck shape, which is one of the most popular and requested build options. It’s the perfect thickness and just makes playing really enjoyable. It also features a dark East Indian rosewood fingerboard, which is a typical PRS feature fans and players love. Other key features include a 25” scale length, 10” radius, and old school bird inlays crafted from Awabi, which is rare form of abalone. The Awabi inlays really do add to the premium look of this instrument, they’re a really nice touch!

This guitar is loaded with a set of PRS DMO. These pickups are extremely versatile and are one of Paul’s personal favourite pickup designs. They’re known for their wide-open sound, meaning they deliver clear, pleasant-sounding tones across a wide range of frequencies. With the 5 way pickup switch, volume control, and tone control, you can dial in a wide range of usable and pleasant tones. With high quality hardware across the board, you don’t have to worry about setup issues. It’s got a high-quality Gen III tremolo bridge, Phase III locking tuners alongside a PRS manufactured nut. You’ve also got smoked black hardware, which just looks awesome and really compliments the body finish.
