The PRS S2 Studio builds on the popular Standard 22 design with an expanded tonal range and a versatile pickup configuration. Featuring two Type-D single coils and a Starla Treble humbucker, this setup provides access to eight distinct tonal combinations through a 5-way blade switch and push/pull tone control. Players can move seamlessly between crisp single-coil clarity, classic scooped tones, and powerful humbucker drive. The ability to split the bridge humbucker adds even more flexibility, allowing for authentic single-coil tones when needed. This makes the S2 Studio an exceptionally adaptable guitar suited to a wide range of musical styles and recording situations.
Constructed from high-quality Mahogany, the S2 Studio offers a balanced tone with strong midrange presence and sustain. The Mahogany neck features a Rosewood fretboard with PRSs comfortable Pattern Regular profile, a 25" scale length, and 22 frets, providing excellent playability and a familiar feel for a wide variety of players. The bodys ergonomic contours and smooth finish make it ideal for both studio and stage use, combining comfort with the premium build quality that PRS instruments are known for.
Hardware on the S2 Studio is designed for precision and reliability. The PRS patented moulded tremolo bridge allows for expressive pitch modulation while maintaining tuning stability, and the PRS locking tuners ensure quick string changes and accurate intonation. Together, these components deliver dependable performance in any playing environment. With its combination of tonal range, high-end craftsmanship, and dependable hardware, the PRS S2 Studio stands out as a professional-grade instrument built to handle any musical setting.
In "gigged" condition. This is a really great sounding guitar and is ready to hit the stage once again. A few marks here and there but nothing that stops this instrument from performing at it's best.
