Back in 2018 we saw the release of Mark’s incredible PRS MT-15 lunchbox head! This little fire breather ended up winning NAMM’s prestigious “Best In Show Award” and delivers a balanced aggression with tons of clarity and articulation. Even now the MT-15 remains a real fan favourite and graces thousands of stages all around the world.
After five years of continuous road testing and prototyping we’re extremely excited to announce the release of the highly anticipated PRS Mark Tremonti MT-100 amplifier. This head is designed for the most serious of musicians and is designed to cover just about every tone you could possibly imagine!
This 100-watt head begins with three individual channels, each one custom voiced to cover a section of Mark’s specific tonal requirements. The “Clean” channel is super chimey and pristine, but don’t be fooled, it will certainly break up when pushed hard enough! The “Overdrive” channel begins where the clean channel ends, with a Dumble like voicing it brings an incredibly flexible gain structure and musical midrange response. The “Gain” channel is where you’ll want to be if you’re looking for a thick, high gain rhythm tone. It’s extremely responsive and never muddy. Each channel features its own Presence, Master Volume, Bass, Middle and Treble controls alongside dedicated circuitry and 12AX7 Preamp tubes.
With four 6L6 Power Tubes the MT-100 is extremely versatile and delivers a balanced tonal spectrum. They have a brilliant bass response whilst remaining clear and vibrant on the top end, they really are the perfect option for an amplifier like this!
