One of the fan favourite amp designs by PRS is the Archon, which is known for delivering incredible overdriven tones!
The PRS Archon is a commanding 2-Channel amplifier with an incredibly versatile tonal palette, offering up sparkling cleans with great headroom and an incredibly responsive and clear gain tone. Designed with five gain stages before for the master volume, the Archon's lead channel is voiced to cover everything from Classic Rock to metal with a full and lush sounding distortion with loads of personality. The clean channel provides rich tones that retain incredibly clarity even when pushed at a high volume, it is incredibly responsive and works as a perfect platform for use with pedals, whether youre playing on the lead or clean, you can expect great things.
Powered by a pair of 6L6 tubes, which provide a warm and full sound with a smooth high end and tight low end. They chug, distort, and get heavy without over-saturating, and they sing without becoming harsh. Whatever your need, they will provide it.
With a super simple control layout the Archon is intuitive and easy to navigate. Each channel features a volume, treble, mids, bass and a master volume as well as a bright switch. The 3-band EQ allows you to really find and dial in your desired tone while the volume and master volume work together to command the amp's distortion and loudness, and thanks to the global presence and depth controls in the power amp section you can modify the feedback network of the amp to unleash this amps full potential.
