We’re thrilled to present one of the coolest PRS limited edition instruments we’ve seen in recent years. Check out the all-new PRS Jonathan Jourdan Limited Edition signature guitar. This is a no-nonsense, all-out rock machine designed to deliver killer tones with PRS’s legendary comfort and playability.
Jonathan Jourdan is one of the main men behind the American rock band “Mammoth”. Night after night he’s out playing big shows, so he needs an instrument he can truly trust and rely on, and this new limited edition signature model is exactly that. This signature model features an all mahogany body, which gives this guitar a warm, punchy, and mid range focused tone. It’s extremely well balanced and features PRS’ violin top carve, making it super comfortable and easy to play.
The neck is crafted from one-piece mahogany and is extremely comfortable. It features PRS’ “pattern regular” profile which was personally selected by Jonathan for its size and overall feel. He’s played many PRS guitars in his career, but has always felt this profile best suited his hands and playing style. The ebony fingerboard is super dark in colour and features a 25” scale length, 10” radius, 22 standard frets, and green luminlay sidedots. One of the most notable features of this guitar is the lack of fingerboard inlays. This was a deliberate design choice, as Jonathan really wanted a stripped back look.
Another important feature of this guitar is the pickup choice. It’s loaded with a singular PRS metal pickup in the bridge position and does not feature any kind of neck or middle position pickup. Jonathan explains why he made this design choice. “There’s something about taking out any unnecessary wiring and removing the neck pickup so its magnets aren’t pulling on the strings that makes it feel alive.” The PRS metal pickup is a great choice for this guitar, it was purpose built to deliver crushing high gain tones that are powerful yet clear. It features ceramic magnets and is wound in house by the PRS team. The controls are super simple but very unique. Jonathan always has his volume control on 10, so he decided to move the volume control out of the way, ensuring he won’t hit it by accident on stage.
This signature model also features high-quality hardware across the board. It’s got a PRS adjustable stoptail bridge, a nut built from a proprietary material, and Phase III locking tuners. Only 200 Jonathan Jourdan signature guitars will be built in 2026, with only 100 available in this colour. Each guitar ships in a high-quality PRS case and comes complete with a hand-signed back plate.
