Patrick James Eggle 96 Vintage | Bog Oak Neck - Grained Black Finish - Pre-Owned
Absolutely Incredible Aesthetics - 5000 Year Old Neck/Board - UK Mojo Pickups - Great Condition

Here is a treat for everyone: a beautiful pre-owned Patrick James Eggle 'Ninety Six'. The attention to detail on the feel of the guitar and the aesthetics is remarkable - from the open-grained black finish to the gold hardware and screws and truly unique pickguard - this guitar is truly a work of art from an expert builder. As one would expect it shows some signs of use but the overall condition is still very good.
The super light Swamp Ash body features Eggle's signature, micro thin, grained, open pore finish in black. Soft to the touch and offering superior resonance, it allows the wood to breathe which delivers better definition and clarity and doesn't stifle the tonal quality of the body. The completely unique hand patinated brass pickguard has a sweet marbled effect and really adds to the premium look of the guitar.
The 96 features a 5000 year old Bog Oak neck and fingerboard, Bog Oak is the UK's most precious timber and it is becoming increasingly popular as a guitar tonewood. Its distinctive black colouring is the result of a chemical reaction between the Oak and the irons present in the bog the wood was preserved under. With a 25.5" scale length, soft V profile and 12" fretboard radius, it is comfortable and beautifully balanced. Even the Jescar 55090 frets match the aesthetic, having been done with EVOgold fret wire.
This one features the vintage style trem and slot head tuners. With an H/S/S pickup configuration you get substantial tonal options - in this case a duo of single coil Mojo pickups, paired with a Mojo humbucker at the bridge to give you a super versatile, premium sound. Mojo pickups are custom wound and hand crafted in Britain one at a time with attention to detail and care.
Covering all your tonal bases with ease, the 96 is a monster guitar, perfect for any playing situation. Guitars like this are the reason that Patrick James Eggle is so highly respected, a true modern day British master builder.
